The Tripp School House was added to this site contributing its charm as the oldest surviving one-room wooden school house in Illinois. This charming piece of Historic Americana was built in 1840 and located less than a mile north of the property in which it now resides.

In 1979 William Boyd and Phil Spinuzza moved and lovingly restored the school to its' original condition as it stands today - a last vestige of a beloved institution.
